I'm going to take it one further. Why the theatrics in burning that much money? You said in your video that the Joker's henchmen had 36 hours max to set up Pyle. What if they had all the time they needed? What if that pile had been there since before they pulled the First Bank job? What if that money that he sets on fire is all counterfeit? Not only would it be reasonable to assume that he kept the money somewhere else but it also gives an in Universe explanation as to why the Joker isn't in Gotham anymore. Because he's a billionaire now. Because you're right. The complications of building such a structure out of loosely banded hundred dollar bills would be extremely time-consuming, not to mention how unstable the layers would be. So in one move, he eliminates the competition for his crime syndicate, while still maintaining an overwhelming financial advantage. Since we know the Joker is the strategist of the highest order, I am convinced the money in the warehouse is counterfeit. In fact, I would not be surprised if the printer they used to make it were there in the warehouse somewhere. My 2nd theory about the Dark Knight trilogy is that it stopped right when it had to because Christopher Nolan’s vision had no room for meta-humans. Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and even Superman wouldn’t have made sense in the overall feel of the movies.

My theory about the dark knight or Christian Bale’s interpretation of Batman/BW is that people only like it because of the joker.
